However, with there being so much on offer in this amazing country, you’re going to have a pretty hard time fitting it all into one holiday! Being Thailand’s capital and home to the country’s forerunning international airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport, it’s more than likely that you’re going to spend at least a small amount of time in this incredible city. While the airport itself is something to explore and marvel, a quick trip in and around the city is going to show you a side to South East Asia that will truly awaken your senses. Whether it’s shopping for bargains at the MBK centre or putting around the city onboard a colourful Tuk Tuk, stopping to see and taste the country’s culture as you go, Bangkok is going to excite you. There are dozens of different accommodation types too to suit all manner of holiday maker and budget.


If you’ve ever seen images of limestone cliffs reaching for the sky out of azure blue waters, then it’s most likely you were looking at pictures of Krabi. This heavenly spot is an ideal location if you’re wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and just take in the scenery with some peace and quiet. Hop on a kayak or explore the underwater realms with snorkels, on top of a tan, you’re also going to gain an unparalleled appreciation for natural beauty in Krabi.

Koh Samui

Sitting amongst the archipelago surrounding it, Koh Samui is a gem in the Gulf of Thailand’s jewel studded crown. The laid-back atmosphere combined with a culture of celebration are guaranteed to lull you into a state of pure holiday. There’s something in the atmosphere in Koh Samui which makes you feel as though you’re in a different world. The white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and huge range of activities and accommodation make it the perfect place to spend your time away from home. But just remember, unless you’re into raucous celebrations, Full Moon Parties occur once a month and can often be pretty intense, attracting up to 30,000 guests at each!

Hua Hin

Just a 3-hour drive south-west of Bangkok and sitting on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin is a beach paradise with a little extra to keep things exciting. Traditionally a popular destination for the Thai Royal Family to visit, this oceanside town has dozens of different resorts and activities to keep everyone happy. Whether it’s sitting on the beach, renting a jet ski, admiring views from a parasail, or haggling at the night markets, Hua Hin is both exciting and relaxed. It’s just up to you which you want to experience more!


Phuket is another place which has the perfect mix of excitement with relaxation and serenity. There are dozens of things to do here: Phuket Aquarium, White Water Rafting, Mini Golf, Yoga – with so many different activities there’s no way you’re going to find time to fit them all in. You’ll also find a wide variety of accommodation here with a nice mix of large resort facilities with every luxury you could ever imagine, to smaller more intimate spots perfect for escaping the noise.

Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is Thailand’s second largest country and considered the gateway to the north. With a photogenic scenery, loaded with temples and historic architecture, it’s an incredible landscape to explore on foot. If you’re into nature, history and culture, then this place is going to be a delight with numerous sites to visit and a nearby elephant sanctuary where you can spend some time caring for these incredibly graceful creatures.
