There are also direct flights from Perth. These many options make Phuket an ideal choice for a convenient tropical holiday. Thailand is seven hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time GMT + 7). An easier way to think of it is: Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in normal time are three hours ahead of Thailand (during Daylight Savings this increases to four hours).
