Location

Located in the South Ari Atoll in the Republic of the Maldives. On arrival at Male International airport the Centara Grand Island Resort team will welcome you, and guide you towards the seaplane terminal in preparation for your transfer to the island. It takes approximately 25 minutes on the seaplane from the airport to resort, and seaplanes operate during daylight hours only. The international flight must arrive into Male Airport between 6am and 3.30pm to connect with the seaplane transfer.

Facilities

The Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa offers all the facilities you would expect from a 5-star resort including three restaurants, two bars, two swimming pools, a luxurious in-house SPA Cenvaree, a fitness centre, water sports and a dual-age kids’ club. There is also a very private ‘The Club’ (charges apply) – where you can enjoy a premium dining venue for meals, Island Club bar and lounge and private island club pool access plus much more.

Dining

The Centara Grand Island Resort offers all inclusive meals and drinks packages for all guests staying at the resort. Reef Restaurant: This all-day restaurant serves breakfast + international cuisine for lunch and dinner. Reef also has a Teppanyaki grill. Suan Bua: serves traditional Thai cuisine with a contemporary twist. The experienced chefs from Thailand will guarantee an absolutely authentic experience. Azzuri Mare: Is set directly over the lagoon and serves authentic Italian cuisine and seafood. Azzuri Mare specialised in freshly prepared pizzas, prime cuts of meat and locally caught seafood. Coral Bar & Lounge – Much more than a bar, the Coral Bar is an entertainment centre offering a full range of beverages. The lounge spans over two floors with the second floor fitted out as a leisure area bar complete with pool tables and games. Aqua Bar – overwater bar offering cocktails and open bar service, the Aqua Bar is a smaller and more intimate option than Coral Bar. It offer spectacular ocean views and its open deck seating makes it an ideal place to watch the stunning sunsets. The Club – An exclusive venue for Club guests. Enjoy premium dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serves Western cuisine.

Duplex Beach Villa – Offering duplex accommodation with the master bedroom on the upper level mezzanine and a convertible sofa. These villas are 87sqm and are separated into two floors and connected via staircase. All Villas offer a master king bedroom complete with a separate furnished living room and a bathroom. Deluxe Overwater Villa – Offering a total of 86sqm of total living space. The Villa offers a master king complete with furnished separate living area and a bathroom with personal Jacuzzi or bathtub and heavenly rain shower. Premier Overwater Villa – Designed for lagoon living, each villa offers abundant space, with 106 sqm of total living area, including an ample terrace with overwater catamaran net for lounging and basking in the sun, a sea-gazing bedroom with high ceilings, and an airy bathroom with shower and freestanding bathtub. Family Overwater Villa – These 93sqm villas are especially designed for children’s comfort and safety and to provide parents with peace of mind. Each villa has bunk beds in a separate area, and gates at both the lagoon and the entrance of the room. Premium Deluxe Sunset Overwater Villa With Pool – Set on the western side of the island, these 114sqm villas feature a 12sqm plunge pool on the deck looking out across the ocean. These villas boast sublime sunset views and feature an ample terrace with steps down to the lagoon, a sea-gazing King bedroom and an airy bathroom with a shower and freestanding bathtub. Two Bedroom Beach Villa with Private Pool – These 159sqm beachfront villas have two bedrooms, a master king bedroom and a smaller bedroom with twin beds, a separate furnished living room, a bathroom with Island bathtub and rain shower, and a terrace with an exclusive private pool.

International flight must arrive in the Maldives between 06:00 hrs. and 15:30 hrs. if guest arrive after hours they can arrive at resort via round trip Domestic flights are operated between Velana International Airport and Villa Airport Maamigili available for guests who arrive before 22:00hrs. The flight will take approx. 20-minute followed by a 30-minute speedboat ride to the resort.
Free luggage allowances up to 20 kg per passenger with hand carry up to 3 kg per passenger. Centara airport counter is No. 12 and located at the arrival zone at Velana International airport. International flight details must be sent to the resort 5 days prior to arrival.
