Hoot Holidays would like to thank our customers for your continued support and patience during this time.

Hoot Holidays is monitoring all updates and assessing the possible impacts on our customers’ travel arrangements. We are working closely with all our suppliers both here and overseas to find the best possible outcomes for our customers, whose travel plans have been affected by COVID-19 and the ongoing travel restrictions being put in place.

On 18 March, the Australian Government advised, all Australian citizens currently overseas to return home as soon as possible, and for all Australian’s not to travel overseas effective immediately. As the restrictions tighten at home with State and Territory Governments enforcing their own travel restrictions, it is our priority to assist our customers to return home. If you have already contacted your Holiday Specialist but haven’t yet heard back, please know that they will respond. As you can imagine, we are experiencing a significant increase in enquiries for amendments and cancellations. This means we are having to prioritise our responses and contact customers based on your planned date of departure.

We pride ourselves on our ability to assist our customers, particularly during these difficult times, and we are striving to maintain our level of service and support by finding a solution that suits each of you. This includes:

  • Reviewing your travel plans and discussing options and alternatives with you;
  • Updating you with the latest information provided by our suppliers and liaising with them on your behalf, and;
  • In the event you have purchased travel insurance through your Holiday Specialist they will review the product disclosure statement (PDS) with you. As each individual travel insurance policy will vary in circumstance as well as the terms and conditions around changes and cancellations, your Holiday Specialist may need to refer you to liaise directly with your travel insurance provider.

To do this, we need to ask for your help:

  • If your booking is with the next 14 days and you still require assistance please contact your Holiday Specialist directly or email  or call 13 46 68.
  • If your planned travel dates are outside of 14 days, please email your Holiday Specialist with your departure date in the subject line. They will respond as soon as possible
  • If your planned travel dates are after 30 June 2020, we appreciate that you may be concerned about what that may mean for your plans. For now, we recommend that you wait until closer to your time of travel before making changes. However, if you do wish to discuss your travel plans, please email and we will respond as soon as possible to your enquiry. 

We are living in extraordinary times and just because you cannot travel now, does not mean that you should stop thinking about where you would like to go. When the time is ready, we look forward to assisting you with your travel plans once again.
