Fitzroy Island Resort

Fitzroy Island with its 340 hectares, this island packs far more than meets the eye – one resort, two restaurants, a National Park and a whole lot of activities to keep the family, friends and couples busy. Lots of different room styles that range from resort studios, suites, 2 bedrooms and beach cabins! All with different views or lush gardens/rainforest or beach views. Nudey beach is only 1km from the resort, easy walk. Just remember, it’s nudey Beach by name only

Fitzroy was once part of mainland Australia. The island is largely untouched and a protected National Park, with walking tracks through the rainforest and beautiful beaches. Fitzroy is almost completely surrounded by coral reef, making it an excellent place for snorkelling. Fitzroy has a steep mountain and two main walking trails that lead to beautiful lookouts.

Location 

Located 45 minutes from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Fitzroy Island is easily reached by regular ferry transfers on the air-conditioned Fitzroy Flyer.

Great value room for couples or friends, with Queen or Twin Beds
Resort Studio Rooms are 32 sqm and are suitable for Twin or Queen size bedding and have limited views of the rainforest.
Air-conditioned rooms with ceiling fan, plasma TV, en-suite marble tiled bathroom with shower, tea and coffee facilities, small desk and mini bar fridge.
Use of shared guest laundry and lifts to all floors.
Sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.

Island Suite - 

Luxuriously appointed spacious one bedroom suite with separate dining and balcony.
Located on the ground floor and level 2, our Island Suites are a spacious one-bedroom suite, 71sqm in size. Each Island Suite includes a generous balcony, kitchenette with microwave, toaster and full size fridge as well as tea and coffee facilities. Each suite is air-conditioned with ceiling fans in rooms, Queen Size bed, plasma TV, lounge and dining area, en suite black marble tiled bathroom.
Use of shared guest laundry with lifts to all floors.
Sleeps up to 4 (extra guests sleep on a sofa bed which may not be suitable for two adults).

Two Bedroom Suite - 

Consists of an Island Suite and a Resort Studio Room adjoining with a shared entrance, kitchenette and balcony.
Our Two Bedroom Suites consists of an adjoining Island Suite and a Resort Studio Room with a shared common entrance. The Island Suite also has a kitchenette, dining area and balcony.
The Two bedroom Suites feature a microwave, toaster and full-size fridge plus tea and coffee facilities in the kitchenette. Air-conditioned with ceiling fans in both rooms, 2 plasma TV’s, shared lounge and dining area, en suite black marble tiled bathroom with shower.

The Cabins are located right on the beach; walk directly from the front balcony to the Beach. Air-conditioned with ceiling fans, Queen size bed and separate bedroom with twin beds. The Cabins are ideal for a romantic getaway or a family with small children.

There is great snorkelling just off the beach and of course, it is a great launchpad if you wanted to explore some of the other 73 islands of the Whitsundays.

Go a little further north to the wet tropics of far North Queensland and visit Port Douglas. Where the rainforest meets the reef. The perfect base to see the local attractions including the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation and more!

Experience Mossman Gorge, a 20-minutes’ drive from Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge is the oldest, continuously surviving rainforest on earth. Nestled in the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park, it is one of the few places in Australia where visitors can gain an insight into the lives, culture and beliefs of Australia’s indigenous population and their connection to the natural environment.
