The best places to stay in Fiji with family

Fiji for families

We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again. Fiji is the ultimate family holiday destination. With great deals including kids under 12 stay & eat free. You would be crazy not to book your next family holiday in this island paradise. We’ve pulled together a list of the best places to stay.

 For the adventurer

For the adventure-seeker (there’s one in every crew), Kula Adventure Park should be first on the itinerary. The 28-acre reserve is set across three valleys and features zip lines, a waterslide and walk-through enclosures that allow visitors to experience the habitat of native animals, birds and reptiles. Guests are guided through the park via a series of wooden walkways, bridges and paths. There’s also an opportunity to hand-feed Hawksbill Sea Turtles, and a splash pool for the kids - the perfect outing for friends and families alike. For ease of access, we recommend staying at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort - a convenient 700m away (a two-minute drive or 10-minute walk).

For the foodie

Does anyone else travel for food? If you’re seeking world-class dining, picturesque beaches and total relaxation then consider Warwick Fiji. The resort features Wicked Walu restaurant, frequently voted as one of the nation’s best. Leave the kids at kids-club (open until 9pm) as this is an adults-only restaurant. Set on a private island, guests are led to their seats via a path lit up by flaming tiki torches, and can dine with their feet in the sand, overlooking the water. Oceanside dining means the seafood is fresh. The menu offers a tantalising selection of lobster, Mahi-Mahi, mud crab, scallops and oysters, as well as steaks cooked to your liking.

For the fun activity addict

For the sports enthusiast, it’s not a holiday without a spot of golf, and the 9-hole course at Naviti Resort is a must-do for those craving a hit. Set across the resort grounds, guests can easily grab clubs, balls, tees, drinks and take in the stunning green surrounds while working on the perfect swing. The resort also offers a smorgasbord of other sports and activities including (but not limited to) tennis, snorkelling, canoeing, archery, badminton, beach walks, volleyball and fish-feeding. That activity diary will be jam-packed.

 For the adrenaline seeker

Set among ten acres of lush tropical garden on Denarau Island, The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji is our pick for those seeking adrenaline. Quad bike and jet boat adventures are a great way of exploring the island and are bookable through reception. We also recommend taking a ride on the Sigatoka River Safari, a four-hour jet boat ride from Sigatoka. For those keen on watersports, kayaks and paddleboards can be hired on-site and are complimentary for guests of the resort. And don’t forget to try the Nadi zip line - a 15-minute drive from the resort and you can soar through dense forest and right over Naihehe Cave, one of Fiji’s largest caves.

 For the nature lover

For those looking to get close to nature, Plantation Island Resort, Fiji is our number one choice. Located in the pristine Mamanuca Islands, this is the perfect place for experiencing Fiji at its most beautiful. Swim with dolphins, snorkel through coral gardens or try your hand at parasailing. Ready to explore further? Dial reception and organise bike hire. Cycling on the Island is easy due to the flat landscape and multitude of paths and roads. Ready to unwind? Relax in a comfortable beachfront bure and let the gentle ocean sounds help you drift off to sleep.
