Thailand is dotted with plenty of scenic wonders, and Krabi is one of the many Thailand locations, where nature puts on a show. Here are three natural attractions in Krabi that will take your breath away:
This picture-perfect natural lagoon also goes by the name of Crystal Pool and Crystal Lagoon, so even its title gives away a little about its beauty and allure. The pool itself is located in Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve, and is filled with crystal-clear natural spring water. It's a popular place to swim, so make sure you bring some swimmers. Walking shoes are also a must, as there are trails leading to plenty of other pools along the way, including a vibrantly coloured 'Blue Pool'.
Huay Toh Waterfall
This magnificent waterfall is located within the Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, which is actually around an hour's drive from Krabi itself. However, the towering, gushing multi-level waterfall is completely worth the drive, and is one of Krabi's most popular natural attractions. Swim in one of the natural pools at the base of the waterfall, or climb up the levels if you're feeling brave and adventurous - however be careful and bring suitable walking shoes if you choose to do so.
This picturesque beach is located on Phi Phi Island, and was the film location for 2000 film 'The Beach', starring Leonardo DiCaprio. If you want to visit the white sands and turquoise waters of this gorgeous bay, schedule your trip for between November and April, as according to Krabi tourism site Krabi-info.com, large waves make it difficult and dangerous to enter during other months. It's utterly stunning and also private, as it is surrounded by majestic 100 metre tall cliffs.
