Scalinis is an Italian word that translates to small steps, and this restaurant has lived up to its name. Starting out small in New Zealand, Joe and Amanda, the duo behind the eatery, always dreamed of relocating to Samoa. A qualified chef for more than 20 years and with roots in Samoa, Joe brings together amazing culinary delights along with fa'asamoa (the Samoan way) in the restaurant.
The menu brings together local flavours and cooking techniques with a unique twist. Try the seared spiced tuna fillet, peppered lamb rump or beef eye fillet for something utterly delicious.
The pair are also looking for ways to make their venture completely sustainable. They have started their own farm, produce local produce and compost food waste.
Islands Surf Bar and Restaurant
Right on the water, this restaurant has a world class location and food to match. While you watch the surf breaking on the reef, you can tuck into food prepared by an award winning chef. The menu is a la carte cuisine, with many seafood delights. Your mouth will water before you've even taken a bite, with the food absolutely beautiful and lovingly prepared.
If you want a restaurant that consistently serves up delicious meals that are both affordable and full of flavour, head to Amanaki. The fish you'll have here is the freshest of the fresh, as the restaurant sends out their own fishing boats to ensure just this.
Some of the most popular dishes on the menu are the fabulously fresh poke, tropical fruit salad (always a classic) and the utterly satisfying hearty beef burgers.
