Hoot’s wedding expert shares her secrets
More Australians than ever are opting for destination weddings.
With the cost of local weddings soaring ($36,200 average price in 2018), the option of escaping to an idyllic beach destination for the perfect wedding is becoming more and more attractive.
And why wouldn’t it be when Hoot Weddings offers all-inclusive wedding packages in stunning destinations like Thailand.
In fact, Hoot Weddings’ number one selling resort destination is the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa at Merlin Beach. Last year alone, Hoot Weddings organised 50 ceremonies at this beachside resort.
Imagine exchanging your vows on the Marriott’s manicured lawn, with the sun shining down, and waves gently kissing the shore of the Tri-Tang beach behind you. It’s the ultimate in romantic moments.
When planning your Thailand wedding a dedicated Hoot Weddings team member, based in Australia, helps often-anxious brides and grooms prepare the perfect wedding day – on budget, without any surprises.
Hoot Weddings has been doing this for a long time and we use only trusted suppliers. That’s right, we plan everything – photographers, hair and make-up artists, DJ – the works.
Our dedicated planner will even be onsite on your wedding day in case you need some extra support.
Planning an overseas wedding is much easier than you think. Especially if you let us do all the heavy lifting for you.
Annette Fyfe is Hoot’s very own wedding expert. We asked her to explain why Thailand is popular among Australian couples. Considering she has helped plan more than 500 Thailand weddings, we’re in safe hands…
Q. When is the best time to get married in Thailand?
A. All regions in Thailand have different weather patterns. If we look at Phuket the low season is between April and October. This offers amazing bonus free night accommodation rates for guests but there is the chance of rain. November to March is the high season which is much more humid weather with a low risk of rain. Our most popular months for weddings in Phuket are April and October. Koh Samui’s weather patterns are the opposite of Phuket. So no matter which month you choose to marry, talk to a Hoot Weddings expert to work out which location will have the best weather.
Q. Will my marriage be legal in Australia?
A. Many brides arrange their legal paperwork in Australia and have their ceremony in Thailand. If you wish to have a legal ceremony in Thailand you must visit the embassy in Bangkok before your wedding day.

A. Hoot Weddings helps arrange all the paperwork and E Documents.
