Want to make the most of your romantic honeymoon in Bali? It doesn’t have to be all rose petals and champagne, you can have a fun and adventurous time too! Check out our couples guide to an action-packed honeymoon in Bali.
1. Go horseback riding
Step one to having a great honeymoon is doing something out of the ordinary. Visit the Bali Equestrian Centre and enjoy a local village tour around the rice paddies or a long beach tour along Berawa Beach. After you’ve had enough horsing around, enjoy a cold drink at the BEC Cafe and watch the other riders in the main riding arena.
2. Take a hike
Put your relationship to the test with an intense hike or take the relaxing route up Mount Batur instead. You will have to wake up early for this one, but the view of the sunrise at the top is worth it. Once you’ve taken it all in and got your insta-worthy shot, head back down the mountain and cool off at one of Bali’s many local waterfalls. Nungnung Waterfall or Tegenungan Waterfall are two of Bali’s most beautiful waterfalls located just an hour away from Mount Batur. Remember to pack your togs and towel so you can make the most of your day in nature.
3. Set sail on a cruise
There’s a lot to see in Bali, but don’t restrict yourself to just the mainland. Check out the pristine oceans from the comfort of a catamaran. You can book a romantic Bali Hai Sunset
Cruise to take you out on the water and treat you to some refreshing champagne. They also offer a number of different cruises such as dolphin safaris and island hopping tour, so you and your partner will be spoilt for choice.
4. Underwater Adventure Tours
Check out Bali’s hidden treasures and head underwater for adventure. Become one with the fish and do a couple’s Ocean Walker Tour. We promise you it’s just as fun as it sounds!
There are also scuba diving classes, scuba diving tours and submarine tours for all confidence levels.
5. Meet the cheeky Ubud monkeys
If you and your partner are feeling cheeky, chances are you’re no match for the cheeky monkeys of Ubud. At the Ubud temple, you can come face to face with some of Bali’s naughtiest monkeys and feed them bananas, if you dare. Of course, you’ll want to bring your phone to take those funny monkey pictures with your partner, but consider yourself warned, the monkeys have a reputation for a reason! Keep a firm grip on all of your belongings and if you don’t need it, leave it locked up.
6. Finish the trip with a cocktail
After all that excitement, you’ll likely want to relax for a while. So why not wind down and enjoy some of the most delicious food and drinks Bali has to offer. Head to the Uluwatu cliffs and sip on a lychee martini at Finn’s beach club or head to one of Bali’s most popular party destinations, Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak to dance the night away.
