Aore Island Resort
Aore Island Resort
Aore Island Resort greets its guests with scenic views of untouched paradise, and that friendly Vanuatu spirit tourists fall in love with.
Perched on the beach and surrounding by tropical coconut plantations, you'll instantly feel a million miles from home when you arrive at the island resort. Just across the channel from Vanuatu's largest island Espiritu Santo, locals know this area to be an incredible asset and visitors will struggle to disagree. It's a mecca for divers and adventurers, but is equally suited to those looking for a relaxing holiday destination to sit back and relax in.
The boutique island resort is a short ferry trip away from the hustle and bustle of Espiritu Santo, where guests looking for shopping and adventure activities will be spoilt for choice. For those times when you do stay within resort grounds, however, you will have an array of things to do right at your fingertips.
Plunge into the 12m pool for a refreshing change from the spectacular ocean, or simply chill out in your beachfront bungalow as you marvel at the sandy coral beach alongside you.
The resort centres around a large terraced area, housing a bar, restaurant and lounge. Enjoy poolside meals and wander the grounds in the evening, sipping cocktails as you watch the sun go down over this tranquil island. Alternatively, take your loved ones to the lounge bar to listen to a local string band play beautiful songs.
The in-house restaurant will please all palates, whether you're interested in local seafood, Santo beef or even a cheeky pizza. Make sure you don't miss Island Night, where dancers join with a string band to perform for all the guests. Take a sip of Kava and let the night take you away!
Visitors to Aore Island Resort fly direct from Australia or via Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu to Pekoa International Airport, Santo. It is then only a 5 minute drive from the airport to the Resort Ferry and a 10 minute ride across the Segond Channel to the resort. You can now fly DIRECT to Santo with Air Vanuatu from Australia ex Sydney on Mondays or ex Brisbane on Tuesdays.

Close to the resort there are colorful reefs and coral walls.
Delicious meals are served in the Big Nakamal featuring the best of Santo beef and seafood complimented by excellent Australian and New Zealand wines. Prices are reasonable and can pre-paid on a meal plan or charged to the room for settlement at completion of the stay. Daily continental breakfast is included.
Island Nights are a popular feature at Aore where local villagers dance and sing and encourage guests to join in. The children are particularly popular as they do their best to interpret the religious and family values of their culture.
Theme nights are regularly held, complete with costumes and appropriate music providing a wonderful party atmosphere in this tropical paradise. Recent events have included a WW11 night complete with army uniforms, weapons (fake of course) and even a patrol boat cruising on the bay all accompanied by 1940s music.
All 18 bungalows feature water views, with the Gardenviews set slightly back and elevated. All have balconies, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, hair dryers, irons and boards and are fan cooled.
The Studio bungalows are ideal for couples/honeymooners featuring cool, light interiors with romantic netting over the queen size double bed. The One Bedroom bungalows are perfect for families with a living area and separate bedroom for Mum & Dad.

Santo Region Information
Santo is a legendary destination in every way, boasting Vanuatu's highest mountains and vast expanses of rainforest. Santo is also a dream destination for diving enthusiasts, the main attraction being the wreck of the luxury liner SS President Coolidge, which sank just off Santo in 1942 after striking a mine.
This is truly one of the few places in the world where you can be on a beach alone, dive or snorkel with a thousand colourful fish, explore the tribal and ritualistic cultural sites and follow it up with dinner on a jetty overlooking the South Pacific.
For holiday makers, the beauty of Espiritu Santo is unmatched. Jewel like islands lay just a few hundred metres from coconut fringed beaches lined with powdery white sand. Amazing blue water swimming holes are connected by underground caverns, and majestic mountains stretching from one end of the island to the other.
