Ratua is an exclusive island retreat close to Santo offering travelers a rare chance to escape from the modern world.. Ratua Private Island has three villages comprising of 15 villa-style homes crafted from 200-year-old teak wood that accommodate two to four guests.

The Yacht Club is the islands social hub offering a watersports activities centre, game room, media centre, sandy beach, chaises, a bar, lounge and dining room.. The Game Room and Media Center provides computers with wireless Internet access and a GSM network covers the entire island.

Location

Located 30 minutes by boat from Espiritu Santo, and a 45 minute flight from Port Vila. A service team greets guests at Espiritu Santo airport and guides them on a 30-minute motorboat journey to the islands Yacht Club. If you prefer, we can arrange a private plane charter or helicopter from Port Vila or Espiritu Santo airports to Ratua for an additional charge. Likewise, we can arrange a helicopter can take you to any of the outlying islands during your stay.

Air Vanuatu provides a number of options to visit Espiritu Santo. Vanuatu's capital Port Vila is a 45-minute flight away or you can fly direct, non-stop from Brisbane to Santo in just 2.15 mins every Tuesday morning and returning 5 days later direct into Brisbane on a Sunday evening. Ex Sydney & Melbourne special combination fares exist to provide easy access to Santo.

Facilities

Ratua offers 146 acres to explore by electric buggy, bike, trek, horseback or boat with most of the amenities centrally located just a short walk from the Yacht Club. Beyond Ratua's shores, guests can discover the wealth of the areas exceptional nature and unique local culture through a range of discovery tours from active volcanoes, waterfalls and caves, to sailing, blue hole swimming, scuba diving and deep sea fishing.

Ratua's weather is nearly perfect as two much larger islands protect it. This makes easy exploration of surrounding lagoons, beaches, reefs where sea tortoises, bright coral gardens and colorful fish abound. While exploring Ratua, guests will also find Manade Ranch where 20 horses roam freely with local chickens, pigs, goats and cows.

A wine cave houses the best of Australia and New Zealand wines not to mention Champagne and the exclusive French wine from the owners vineyard.
