Day 1 & 2
Day 1 Saigon (D)
On arrival at Saigon International Airport a local English speaking guide will meet you for the transfer to your hotel. Afternoon free to explore downtown Saigon's shops and markets. Tonight a special treat as your guide takes you to a popular local restaurant to discover Vietnam's wonderful cuisine.
Day 2 Saigon (B,L)
Today a tour of Saigon and the Cu Chi Tunnels. In the morning travel to Cu Chi where a video highlights their use during the war. Parts of the tunnels have been excavated for you to see inside. In the afternoon the City Tour includes Cholon (China Town) Wholesale market, Thien Hau Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral and if time allows the War Museum.Back to Top
Day 3 & 4
Day 3 Saigon to Hoi An (B)
Morning transfer (driver only) to Saigon Airport for the flight to Danang in Central Vietnam. On arrival meet and greet your local guide for the transfer through to Hoi An. After checking into your hotel, a short guided walking tour takes you inside some of the historic buildings, a chance to learn some of the history behind this ancient town
Day 4 Hoi An (B)
Free day in Hoi An. During the 17th and 18th centuries Hoi An was a major Asian trading centre and much remains as it was then. A wonderful town for getting clothes tailor made or for buying souvenirs, Hoi An also boasts an excellent beach nearby, you can hire a bicycle to ride there, or a car & driver.Back to Top
Day 5 & 6
Day 5 Hoi An to Hue (B)
Today your guide and driver will tour you over the spectacular Hai Van Pass, rated by National Geographic as one of the 50 must-do journeys in the world. Visit Marble Mountain, China beach (have a swim if you wish) and the Cham Museum in Danang enroute. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6 Hue (B,L)
A tour of Hue begins with a boat trip along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, built in 1601. Then continue by car to the Ancient Citadel, the capital of Vietnam from 1802-1945, which was recognized as a World Heritage Site, where the last King of Vietnam Bao Dai King abdicated on 30 August, 1945. Continue to visit Khai Dinh Tomb with its mix of Asian and Western architecture.Back to Top
Day 7 & 8
Day 7 Hue to Hanoi (B)
Transfer to Hue airport for the flight to Hanoi for early morning flight (driver only). On arrival
transfer your hotel, half-day city tour to visit some of Hanoi’s historical sights. Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh’s house, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Afternoon at leisure for shopping or to explore your own interests further.
The evening is at leisure – we suggest the Night markets or a traditional “Water Puppet Theatre” show (not included)
Day 8 Hanoi (B)
Transfer to airport (driver only) for your outbound flight. Tour ends.Back to Top
