There's no place in the world quite like Maui, and the same goes for the Sheraton Maui Resort.
Think endless acres of green gardens, glistening waterways carved from lava flows, pristine blue lagoons and the gentle caress of Hawaii's refreshing breeze.
Take your pick from around 510 rooms and suites that face the ocean. Yes, you really can relax on your own private lanai as much as you want, taking in the magnificent view. It's hard to think about your troubles when you're gazing out at such a peaceful, serene view with the sounds of nature as your own personal soundtrack.
You're bound to love the interior design, too, which takes inspiration from Hawaiian craftsmanship with the use of bamboo, patterns and block prints.
When you step out the door of the room that provides your own little piece of paradise, you'll simply adore the resort facilities on offer. Lounge beneath the incredibly soothing, swaying palm trees, amble through the gardens or head to Ka'anapali Beach and laze on the long stretch of soft white sand.
If you're keen to get active, plunge into the ocean and see what friends you can make underwater, including colourful clownfish, playful dolphins and loveable sea turtles. Snorkelling and diving are just some of the activities on offer. If you're game, step things up a notch and learn how to make a flower lei, or check out a local Hula show. Those who are musically inclined might even enjoy a ukulele lesson!
A highlight of the Sheraton Maui Resort is also its Torch Lighting and Cliff Dive Ceremony, which happens as the sun sets. A young cliff diver walks along the beach to old Hawaiian chants and the magical sound of the conch shell, lighting warm glowing torches on the way to Black Rock. Then he casts a torch off to the ocean, as well as a flower lei, and makes the huge dive himself. It's a truly incredible experience, at an amazing resort.
